FASA Miniatures to Full Thrust
 
 
These are conversions of Star Trek ships from FASA's OOP Starship Combat Tactical Simulator game.  These designs are partially based on the stats from that game, but I have made significant modifications to some, though the role of the ship and its 'feel' should be similar to what it was in the FASA game.  Conversions are done only for the ships that have minis since I have these minis and want to use them someday.

A few guidelines I followed:
          Disruptors - A new weapon, designed to represent what was seen in the original series episodes.  It is the heavy weapon of the Klingons since they don't use Pulse Torpedoes (Photon Torps).
Disruptor:  Mass 3, 2 arcs, +1 mass for a 3rd arc.  Cost is 3x Mass.
Fired as a Pulse Torp but instead of a damage roll, a fixed 2 points of damage are inflicted.  Screens have no effect, and if armoured, 1 point of damage to the outer layer of armour and 1 point to the next layer (2nd layer of armour or hull depending on design)

          General - no fighters in this universe so no PDS, if a crossover game, allow any beam battery to be used as a PDS but then it can not fire at another ship that turn.
          Escorts - Only beam weapons and have a lower thrust rating (Thrust 4) since their main use is escorting very slow ships from pirates, etc and not cruising throughout the universe.
          Destroyers - Thrust 6 and no screens (all ships are assumed to have some shields or screens, but the weakest ones are represented by the base value of Level 0 screens)
          Cruisers - Usually have Thrust 6 and Level 1 screens, they are intended to be the fast response units of the fleet operating alone if necessary, though equally at home in a massive battlefleet.
          Frigates - While as large as cruisers, Frigates are not intended to zip around the universe by themselves.  They are usually found in battlefleets and assault forces (thus they have more weapons but need less thrust)
          Battleships - Basically larger and upgraded versions of Cruisers (Federation) or Frigates (Klingon).

Federation ships have average hulls and Klingon ships have average/strong hulls.  Because in
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
we see Klingon D-7's using photon torpedoes, a Movie Era D-7 was created to reflect this.
